Proxima Centauri- Second Nearest Star to Earth

Everyone here knows that the Sun is the nearest star to the earth! But how many of you know which is the second nearest star to the earth? I think most of you don't know about it. . .
So, I must tell you about this amazing fact:)
So, here we GO!
Proxima Centauri is the second nearest star to us! But there is nothing amazing in this!
Well it's about to come. . .
Even though Proxima Centauri is the second nearest star to us, it is 4.3 light years away!(Light Year is the time taken by light to travel in space. In space, light year is used instead of kms. to measure the distance)
So Light from Proxima Centauri takes about 4.3 years to reach the earth which is far more than the Sun's time i.e. just 8.3 minutes!

This means that when we see Proxima Centauri from earth, we see it as it was before 4.3 years:)
 Isn't it Interesting?
Keep Visiting! More cool stuff will be updates soon!:)
